Aura ("we", "our", or "us") provides a self-custodial software interface (the "App") that allows you to manage your digital assets on the Polygon network. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand exactly how your data is handled.

Crucially, Aura is a non-custodial wallet. We do not collect, store, or have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. You are the sole custodian of your assets.

  • Private Keys and Seed Phrases: These are generated locally on your device and are encrypted. We never have access to them.
  • Personal Identification Information (PII): We do not collect your name, address, email, or phone number unless you explicitly provide it to us for support purposes.
  • Financial Information: We do not hold or process your fiat currency or bank details.

3. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to improve the functionality of the App:

  • Public Blockchain Data: When you transact, your transaction details (sender, receiver, amount, timestamp) are publicly recorded on the Polygon blockchain. This data is public and not controlled by us.
  • Device and Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you use the App (e.g., features used, crash reports) to improve our services. This data is not linked to your wallet address or identity.
  • Support Inquiries: If you contact us for support, we may collect the information you provide to assist you.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services, such as fiat on-ramps (e.g., MoonPay) or decentralized applications (dApps).

  • Fiat On-Ramps: If you choose to purchase crypto using a third-party provider within the App, you will interact directly with that provider. They may collect your personal information (KYC/AML data) in accordance with their own privacy policies. Aura does not have access to this personal data.
  • External Links: We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites or services linked to or integrated with the App.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's functionality.
  • Analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
  • Detect and prevent fraud or technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations (though we hold minimal user data).

We prioritize the security of your data. Your private keys are stored securely on your device using industry-standard encryption. Since we do not hold your keys, we cannot recover your wallet if you lose your seed phrase. You are solely responsible for backing up your credentials.
